This year GCS are proudly celebrating 25 years of trading. It has been a whirlwind 25 years and I am not sure our three founders would have imagined reaching this milestone anniversary when GCS was formed from a British Gas management team buyout back in 1997. 25 years on with our amazing team – the GCS Family and we are continuing to grow, develop and forwards as a company.
To commemorate our 25th Anniversary, we hosted a family summer social event for our employees and their families, and a fantastic time was had by all including the future generation of GCS who loved the bouncy castle and endless amounts of cakes and sweets!
Although we have seen many changes over the years, we are so proud that there are members of our team who have worked with us for so many years. Carolyn Lamb joined GCS 23 years ago and as one of our longest standing employees she has put together some words below to celebrate our anniversary and show how far we have come over the years:
“I have been working for GCS for 23 years now, it started as a very small company with the 3 owners, their wives and a couple of staff members. I joined the company as a very nervous 18-year-old but from the beginning was treated as if I was a member of their family. I have had a few different roles within the company, gained lots of experience and extra qualifications all of which have helped to mould me into the person I am today. We have laughed, cried, danced, sang and played tricks on Directors (especially at Christmas).
We have sadly lost some very dear members of the company, but they would have been so proud to celebrate the company’s success. For me, to watch the company grow into the successful business it is today is a huge privilege and I personally would like to congratulate GCS and all who are a part of it on a very Happy 25th Anniversary!” – Carolyn Lamb
We are incredibly proud of all we have achieved, so to our GCS Family, old and new, thank you for being part of the company’s success over the past 25 years and making GCS the company that it is today.… Here’s to another 25 years!
